The Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization (WAFO) has the following job position opening in our transportation team that provides transportation for our youth and adult participants in our Evening and Weekend Programs:

Job Title: WAFO Outreach Transportation Worker

Compensation: $25.00/hr This position is a part-time position up to 17 hours/week

Job Title: Outreach Transportation Worker (Evening Shift – Youth Transportation)
Schedule: Evenings, Tuesdays 3:00-6:00, Wednesdays, Thursdays (5:00 PM – 8:00 PM) and possibly Sundays
Location: Alamo Community Center, 890 Pulaski Hwy, Goshen, NY 10924
Reports to: Outreach Coordinator

Position Summary:
We are seeking a responsible and motivated Outreach Transportation Worker to assist with the safe transportation of youth and adults participating in evening and weekend outreach programs. The ideal candidate is bilingual, safety-conscious, and familiar with the Black Dirt area. This role plays an important part in helping local youth access after-school and weekend enrichment activities.

Responsibilities:

• Safely transport youth participants to and from outreach sites and events.
• Ensure all passengers are transported in a safe, respectful, and timely manner.
• Maintain cleanliness and safety standards of the vehicle at all times.
• Communicate clearly with parents, youth, and staff regarding pick-up and drop-off times.
• Support program staff with light setup and coordination during events as needed.
• Uphold confidentiality and professionalism in all interactions.
• Follow all organizational and traffic safety policies.

Qualifications/Requirements:

• Age 21 or older
• Must have a valid driving license
• Must be able to work evenings and Sundays.
• Ability to lift 25–50 lbs.
• Honest, fair, courteous, and consistent in handling responsibilities.
• Ability to problem-solve and work as part of a team.
• Must be authorized to work in the United States.

Preferred:

• Previous experience working with youth or in community outreach.
• Knowledge of local farmworker or rural communities.
• Completed a Defensive Driving Course.
