Every year for close to a decade the Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization has hosted a Christmas Store for families and individuals in our various programs to purchase gifts at below cost. The brand new items are provided through donations and purchased if necessary by the WAFO ahead of time. Over 130 families were served last year through our Christmas Store and we are yet again expecting at least this many families based on our current sign up list. The new items are sold at a fraction of their cost and 100% of the proceeds are used to fund the WAFO Winter Programs.

The families are able to purchase these gifts with dignity, knowing that they are also contributing to the programs that will benefit their families. Because the products are donated, we can “sell” them at far below retail cost. That allows the families access to gifts they would not otherwise be able to afford themselves. We are accepting any new items at the ALAMO (directions can be found here) or . In person gift donation drop off can be made up until December 14, 2023. The Santa’s Shop will be open from December 15-17th at St. Peter’s Lutheran Church in Warwick, NY.

We are looking for volunteers to help out both ahead of the shop’s opening and during the actual shop hours. The more Santa’s elves we get to help out, the easier it will be for us to get the shop and running!
