WAFO Holiday Celebrations Bring Cheer to Migrant Community Thanks to Donors

Thank you to all who donated and supported our programs during the holidays!

The Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization remained very busy this holiday season thanks to the help of so many. We are happy to share with a video below showing some of the great things that went on during the 2021 Holiday Season that we would like to catch you up on such as:

  • Garnet Health Medical’s staff making food donations for Thanksgiving and Christmas to the participants in our programs.
  • The Warwick Valley Church of the Nazarene donating time to prepare meals for those in our program for Thanksgiving.
  • Warwick Ecumenical Council donating 150 bags of food to the participants of our programs.
  • Our Christmas Store (that was success because of our volunteers, all these organization above/below and all of you who purchased gifts for it).
  • Bicycles for the children in our program donated by the Orange County Youth Bureau.
  • St. Peter’s Lutheran Church helping the families in our program.
  • Fran Gallardo helping the WAFO programs’ children make crafts.
  • Warwick Valley Middle School collecting and donating toys to the children in our programs.
  • Clare leading one of our her arts and crafts program for the children.
  • The WAFO program teachers, volunteers, parents, and all the people who make our program happen.
  • Warwick Grove making donations to the participants in our program.
  • The Warwick Assembly of God Church who donated to our program participants.
  • Christ Episcopal Church who donated to our program participants.
  • The Warwick Valley Knights of Columbus and St. Stephen’s Roman Catholic Church that donated to our program participants.
  • Kathie Oresto and Nick Constantino.
  • The Orthmann Family who once again this year made their annual donation of 150 bags of food for the families in our programs.

Because of all these people and so many more who work silently in the background we were able to make an exceptional Holiday Season happen this past year for all the families, children, program participants, and migrant farm workers who rely on our WAFO programs for basic things that they would otherwise go without if it were not for all you! We are blown away by your support once again and we cannot thank you enough or put into words how grateful we are for all your continued support. You all gave dignity, visibility, and showed compassion to those who are truly grateful for your kindness, compassion, and exceptional Christmas spirit that truly shows what the Holiday Season is really about.

Thank you again and we at the WAFO hope you all had a blessed Thanksgiving, merry Christmas, joyous holiday season, and happy New Year.
