Glenn and Susan Dickes Sponsor Field Trip to the Turtle Back Zoo for 90 students and their counselors!

The Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization Dulce Esperanza Summer Program students enjoyed a wonderful field trip to the Turtle Back Zoo on August 6, 2025. Thanks to a generous donation from Glenn and Susan Dickes, the students had this field trip, including a delicious lunch and a special trip to Bellvale Creamery to end their day. The summer program provides enrichment and academic programming for 90 students and 20 teen leaders. The majority of the students come from farmworker families. They are not able to go on family vacations or trips as this is the busiest time for farmworkers.

This summer, due to increasing needs of students, no field trip was possible. This donation from the Dickes family made the field trip possible. All of the children were thrilled to go on this trip. They especially enjoyed the ice cream trip at the end of the trip.
