Last week the Teen Leaders from the Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization Dulce Esperanza Summer Enrichment Program attended a production of the play “Romeo and Juliet” that was part of this year’s Hudson Valley Shakespeare Festival.

The ten teen students also enjoyed a picnic lunch that followed the play as part of the field trip.

The students prepared during the week ahead of the trip by watching a film version of “Romeo and Juliet” and discussing it with one of the Program’s Language Arts teachers.

The group was fortunate to meet one of the production’s actors, Luiz Quintero, who played the role of Mercutio. He is pictured in the group shot with the students above this article.
