This past week John Simone of Warwick, New York completed his Boy Scouts Eagle Scout project at the Alamo Community Center in Goshen, New York. His project included an exterior update, removing a broken staircase platform, landscaping and refreshing the entryway. He organized a team of young people with adult supervision to perform the work. It looks wonderful and the Farmworkers entering the building will appreciate the work as well.
The Alamo Community Center is used by the Warwick Area Farmworkers Association to host a number of its program throughout the year for both migrant farmworkers and their families. The WAFO appreciates all of John’s handwork organizing the work and thanks all who helped him to make the building entryway safe and visually pleasing again. Everyone did a great job and we applaud John’s efforts to make it happen!
