As previously talked about on our website earlier last week, the Warwick Area Farmworkers Organization Dulce Esperanza Summer Enrichment Program ended its 2021 Summer Session with its annual field trip as it has in years past prior to the COVID-19 pandemic. It was wonderful to be able to get the children in the program out again to experience something they might not otherwise be able to do given the reality of many of their families economic situations. What for many children might be a simple day trip to a local amusement park for these children was a dream come true.
Below are some of the photos that have been previously shared on our Facebook and Instagram accounts. We wanted to make sure those of you who do not subscribe to either of those pages had a chance to see the joy and excitement of the children because it truly is a marvelous thing to behold.
We, once again, cannot thank the so many of you who this year donated to our organization who made this trip and the entire Summer Enrichment Program possible. None of what you are seeing below would have been possible without your generosity. These images are a direct result of your compassion and caring. A compassion and will to care that these children are sure to share with others as they themselves become adults.
If you would like to support programs for the children of the local migrant farmworker community like these please consider donating today to the WAFO through our online donation page here. No amount is too small and 100% of your donation goes directly to helping local children in need within the migrant farmworker community of the Warwick Valley that we serve.
