On August 8, 2018 the WAMC Summer Enrichment Program students learned about careers in Cosmetology, owning a small business, and entrepreneurship. Thank you Nicole Conklin of Island Salon in Pine Island, Maggie Edwards of the Hair Bar in Monroe, and Mona Foroutani of MonEli Spa in Pine Island, for taking time out of your busy schedules and sharing your talents, knowledge, and wisdom. So many of our students were interested in learning about Cosmetology, owning your own business verses working for someone, and what it takes to be successful. They learned about Orange County-Ulster County BOCES, private schools, other programs that are available to them when they reach their junior year in high school, and many other things!
