WAMC Volunteers Lead Craft Activities

The WAMC Summer Enrichment Program has had a significant outreach from the local community with offers to volunteer this year. We have continued to be awe inspired by the local community’s interest to help out our program this summer. Volunteers are vital to keep the Enrichment Program running and help to add activities that may otherwise not be possible.

This past week the children did a hands on craft where they tie-dyed pillow cases. This was made possible by WAMC volunteer Mrs. Gablemann. She lead the children through the tie-dye process helping each child to create their own unique pillow case.

Also this week the children worked with stress balls thanks to the volunteer work of Miss Beck. This physical and occupational therapy based activity helped the children to learn to cope with stress in a constructive manner.

Art and therapy are just two items made possible by volunteer work. The WAMC would like to thank Mrs. Gablemann and Miss Beck for leading these sessions this year. We would also like to thank all our volunteers who daily make our program run safe and smoothly for the children.

The WAMC Summer Enrichment Program is made possible through the generous donations of private donors. If you would like to donate to our program so that we can continue to offer educational enrichment to local children you can do so here.
